HPS Annual Conference and Trade Show

At HPS, we are committed to support every member’s healthy bottom line by providing competitive pricing on an array of contracts and services for every department within an organization. The annual HPS conference and trade show is a way for HPS to show you how we can help support your organization. The conference offers an opportunity for you to network with your peers, and features many educational seminars that will allow you to hear about critical issues affecting your organization. In addition, our exhibit hall is filled with the vendors and manufacturers that work with HPS and our membership. As always, our popular keynote speakers are sure to inspire and leave you with a motivational message.

We would like to thank all of our vendors and partners who participated in the 2011 conference and trade show!

The HPS show is one of the largest in the Midwest that caters to health care, educational and governmental organizations. As an exhibitor, you have the opportunity to take advantage of an audience that will generate qualified leads and sales. HPS services over 3,000 organizations throughout the Great Lakes, central and southern states.

How do I become an HPS vendor?

HPS has a specifically defined approval process. HPS uses a team-based research approach to determine the needs of our members and to offer valuable, broad-based contracts. Our committees, comprised of individuals from various service areas of health care and educational facilities, provide formal opinions that help determine the approval of vendors. Feedback from the committees and HPS staff who interface on a daily basis with vendors, literature research, buying trends, and a host of other inputs, are all used to determine the needs of our membership.

Implementation

Contract implementation is a total group effort where we work closely with the supplier. The goal is to inform and help market to our membership the benefits of the contract. We utilize several tools to assist with contract implementation, such as bi-monthly newsletters, postings on our website, and coordinated direct mailings. We also utilize the efforts of our Region Managers who are in contact daily with our membership. HPS provides educational conference calls between suppliers and our marketing team for contract value. Our members are free to decide to utilize the contract.

Evaluation

Evaluation is key to making sure we meet our membership needs and it is also an important step to the life of a contract. We hold business review meetings with the supplier to determine expected utilization. We may modify the contract if it does not meet expected needs. When a contract does not meet member needs and modifications will not fix it, we will exercise our cancellation clauses.

Reporting

If awarded a contract, you will be required to provide HPS with timely reports of HPS member utilization and purchase volume. Reports must be communicated to HPS via electronic means.

HPS Bid Calendar

HPS utilizes a bid calendar to maintain a schedule for competitive bids. All contracts are subject to renegotiation versus a competitive bid, and the life of the contract is at the discretion of the committee.

Any new company to contract with HPS must first complete the HPS vendor application. (see above for link)
