Advisory Committees

HPS has five special advisory committees that negotiate and provide input in the development of competitively priced contracts.
  • Educational Purchasing Committee
  • Food Service Administrators Advisory Committee
  • Engineers Advisory Committee
  • School Food Purchasing Advisory Committee
  • Technical Advisory Committee

The committee network, representing professionals from all areas within HPS member facilities, takes a proactive role in holding down inflation within the HPS portfolio of contracts. Peers representing health care material managers, food service administrators, engineers and maintenance supervisors, laboratory managers, pharmacists and school officials make contract decisions based on what is best for the entire HPS membership. Committees remain cognizant of areas for contract development and enhancements and are aware of the changes and procurement challenges facing each HPS member facility. The HPS committees recognize new areas for contract development and provide valuable input, expertise and decision making.
